Green Building Solutions was founded and is run by Mark Saich. Mark had worked in the construction industry for over 20 years, including 10 years in Local Authority Building Control and Environmental Health.

As well as ensuring compliance with the Building Regulations and Housing Act standards, Mark was involved with Home Energy Conservation Act duties, promoting carbon reductions and providing energy efficiency advice for home owners/occupiers, and producing SAP ratings.

Since leaving Local Authority, Mark has gained an Honours degree in Environmental Science, and is working on a major research project for the final stage of an MSc in Architecture (Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies) through the Centre of Alternative Technology where he is also a visiting lecturer.

In addition to running Green Building Solutions, Mark is the Chair of The Friends of Canterbury Environmental Education Centre and one of the steering group for Transition City Canterbury.
